Prior to specialising in Migration, Heidi worked as a Solicitor in Townsville, North Queensland, specializing in Criminal Law.

As soon as she moved to Brisbane in early 2005, she changed career paths and discovered her passion was in Migration. Being a migrant to Australia herself (born in El Salvador and migrated to Oz in 1988), Heidi has experienced the migration transition first hand and understands at a personal level what it’s like to move to a new continent!!

Heidi has also travelled extensively and worked overseas and was based in the UK with a well known migration firm for a few years but has recently moved back to Brisbane and considers herself a true blue Queenslander! She speaks French and Spanish fluently (and Italian to a more elementary level) and is a pretty good salsa dancer!

Heidi specialises in all Skilled, Business, Spouse and Employer Sponsored visas and does so with a caring and professional attitude as she considers the client's best interests her priority.

		Sian joined AMVL – Australian Visa Specialists in January 2009 and is part of our Offshore Skilled Migration Team, working closely with Heidi Ochoa. Sian is enjoying working in the Migration industry after a long career in Education. Sian is originally from country Queensland and studied her Bachelor of Education at the University of Southern Queensland.

		Kimberley Broadbent
		Client Liaison Officer
		Kimberley is a recent addition to AMVL – Australian Visa Specialists, assisting Heidi in the Offshore Skilled Migration Team. Kimberley is currently studying a Bachelor of Law and Business (majoring in Economics) at Queensland University of Technology after returning from London. This is her second degree after completing a course at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Kimberley is looking forward to working in Migration Law, which complements her degree.
